The 2011 Business Cares Food Drive kicked off on Dec. 1 at Western.

The Western Engineering Robotics Team helped launch the community-wide Business Cares Food Drive for 2011 on December 1 at London Hall. This team along with robotic teams from Laurier and Oakridge Secondary Schools used their remote contolled robots to help officially launch this year's food drive by pushing a shopping cart full of donated foods across the starting line.

Your support in donating to the Western Cares Food Drive is important as together we can help support over 3,000 people with emergency food on a monthly basis through the London and Area Food Bank. Last year the city campaign contributed over 228, 000 lb of food.

In addition to those who support the campaign with their donations a big word of thanks goes to the Building Captains around campus who promote the food drive in their areas. A tip of the hat also to Hospitality Services who arranged with their suppliers donations to help to kick off the campaign at Western on Dec. 1.
