Judith Rodger, acting director of the McIntosh Gallery, welcomes James Patten into his new role as director and chief curator during a ‘passing of the torch’ ceremony Monday. Members of the arts community and representatives from across campus attended the event. Since May of 2008, Rodger has helped shepherd the gallery into its new teaching and research role at the university. Patten, who comes to Western from the Art Gallery of Windsor, begins on Feb. 1.
