University to resume classes Wednesday morning
By Communications Staff
January 07, 2014
Following the cancellation of classes today and this evening, Western will be fully operational as of Wednesday morning.
The majority of services available during the day today will be closed this evening including Western Libraries, the Student Recreation Centre, Student Central and The Book Store at Western.
While weather conditions are forecast to improve on Wednesday, community members should plan to take similar precautions against the elements by dressing appropriately to protect against wind and temperatures. For those commuting to campus, ensure your vehicle is fueled and serviced, with additional clothes and accessories in case you are delayed or stranded.
The decision to cancel classes today allowed Western to continue to operate while limiting the need for movement on campus in winds and temperatures considered unusually extreme. We thank community members for their cooperation during this interruption to our regular operations.
As always, Western is open and fully operational unless otherwise announced.
Please check Western’s weather page, uwo.ca/weather.html, for further updates.
