Funeral services set for student

The Western community is mourning the death of Connor Murphy Woods, 21, a Faculty of Social Science student, who died Friday, Dec. 14.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20 at Humphrey Funeral Home, A.W. Miles Chapel Limited, 1403 Bayview Ave. (south of Davisville Avenue). Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21 in St. Cuthbert’s Anglican Church, 1399 Bayview Ave., Toronto. A private interment will follow at a later date.

Woods is survived by his parents, Caroline Murphy and John Woods; sister, Jennifer Woods; grandparents, Constance Conacher and John Murphy and Jeanne (Trout) Woods; step-mother, Blythe and her children, Aislin, Shea and Cavan; and uncles, Greg and Gord, aunt, Clarissa, and their families. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ross Woods.

On Friday, Western will lower the flag on University College in Woods’ honour.
