The University of Western Ontario has announced the appointment of Roy Langille as the new Associate Vice-President (Physical Plant & Capital Planning Services), beginning Oct. 20.

Langille replaces Dave Riddell, who retired in June after 18 years at Western.

Roy Langille

The Director of Facilities Management at Seneca College for the past six years, Langille comes from the largest college in Canada with 19,000 full-time students and 90,000 part-time students. Prior to Seneca, he served in senior positions with ARAMARK Canada, The Credit Valley Hospital, St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital and Parkwood Hospital.

"I am confident that Roy will provide excellent leadership as he takes on his new challenges and responsibilities in the Physical Plant Division and I know that you will join me in welcoming him to the university," says Gitta Kulczycki, Vice-President (Resources & Operations).

Langille has also completed his studies towards a Master of Science degree in Facilities Management and holds a license of 2nd Class Stationery Engineer.
