Math Kangaroo Contest looking for students from Grade 1 - 12

Western's Statistical and Actuarial Sciences Department will be hosting in London part of the international 2013 Math Kangaroo contest. Associate Professor, Dr. Hristo Sendov will be acting as site coordinator for the event.
In 2012, more than 6,000,000 students from grade 1 to grade 12, from 46 countries around the world, participated in the contest. In Canada, the 2013 Math Kangaroo contest is available in Toronto, Ottawa, Sudbury, Montreal, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Halifax, Thunder Bay, North Bay, London, Langley, and St. John’s.

Registration is online, on www.mathkangaroocanada.com, between January 3, 2013 and March 15, 2013. The registration fee is $16.
On-campus Training Sessions

Students from grade 1 to 10 are invited to participate. The registration is online, from the participant’s account. There is a fee of $5 per session, payable online at the moment of registration.
Grade 1-2, 9:00-10:00
Grade 3-4, 10:15-11:15
Grade 5-6, 11:30-12:30
Grade 7-10, 12:45-1:45
Online training for grade 1 to 10
One session with two alternative dates:
February 23 and March 9, in English
February 24 and March 10, in French
The schedule is available on the website www.mathkangaroocanada.com. The registration is online from the participant’s account. There is a fee of $5, payable online at the moment of registration.
