Western reports “very low rates” of students presenting influenza-like symptoms
As of September 24, Student Health Services has reported very low rates of students presenting with influenza-like symptoms. The Middlesex-London Health Unit (MLHU) also reports very little influenza activity in our region at this time. Based on provincial data, MLHU further advises that in those instances where samples are taken because of influenza-like symptoms, less than 5 per cent are coming back as influenza, including Pandemic (H1N1) influenza, indicating there is very little influenza activity in the community.
