Stockwell Day to speak at law school

Stockwell Day, Federal Minister of Public Safety, will speak on Canada's role in the global fight against terrorism at a public lecture, Thursday, March 20 from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Moot Court Room, in the Faculty of Law.

As Minister of Public Safety, Day's portfolio includes the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the Canada Border Services Agency, the Canadian Security Intelligence Service, the National Parole Board and the Correctional Service of Canada. Day (Okanagan-Coquihalla).
 
He is also the former leader of the Canadian Alliance Party, which merged with the Progressive Conservative Party in 2003 to form the Conservative Party of Canada.  
 
The event is presented as part of Western Law's Distinguished Speaker Series. Admission is free.
