These Mustangs are simply unbeatable.

The Western men's hockey team completed an unprecedented regular season, finishing the 24-game schedule without a single loss, following a 4-2 win over Ryerson on Thursday night.

Western, who finished the year with an OUA record of 22-0-2, became the first team in league history to go undefeated over a 24-game schedule. The last OUA team to finish the regular season without a loss was the 1982-83 University of Toronto Blues, who accomplished the feat in 22 games, and finished 18-0-4.

Justin Davis led the Mustangs to the historic victory over Ryerson with a pair of goals. Matt Dzieduszycki and Shawn Thompson added singles.

The nationally ranked number one Mustangs will face either Windsor or Lakehead in the best-of-three OUA West Division Final, beginning Feb. 27.
