Western's badminton Mustangs kept their three-year unbeaten streak alive with a 9-2 win over Ottawa in the OUA Championship Final at Thames Hall on Saturday.

Western, which captures its third-straight OUA crown, also stretches its winning streak to 56 games - one of the longest winning streaks in any sport at UWO.

The University of Ottawa won silver, while the University of Toronto defeated York 7-4 in the bronze medal game to finish third.

Western, which entered the weekend as the championship's No. 1 seed, defeated York 11-0 in the semi-finals. Ottawa, which entered as the No. 2 seed, defeated Toronto 6-1 in the other semi-final.

The OUA title is the third in five years for UWO under head coach Bill Mason.
