Starting this fall, the USC will be giving students a chance to opt-out of the Student Health Plan online (www.usc.uwo.ca/health).

All Western full-time undergraduate students are automatically enrolled in the Student Health Plan. Students can opt out of the plan upon providing proof of alternative coverage.

Only full-time, undergraduates with an alternative extended health plan (not OHIP, or any other province coverage) can opt-out of the plan.

Proof of alternative coverage will be required when students pick up opt-out cheques in late October.
