Goodale given DUP honours

Western's Mel Goodale will be honoured as a Distinguished University Professor (DUP) at an upcoming event.

Goodale of the Departments of Psychology, Physiology and Pharmacology receives the honours on Tuesday, May 1 at 4 p.m. in Room 3345 in Somerville House.

The event will feature a talk by Goodale, on Sight Unseen: An Exploration of Conscious and Unconscious Vision.

The lecture will be followed by a reception at 5 p.m. at Michael's Garden.

The Distinguished University Professor Award is Western's highest recognition for a faculty member. This award is presented in honour of sustained excellence in teaching, research and service accomplished during an outstanding scholarly career at The University of Western Ontario.

All are welcome although an R.S.V.P. is requested at rsvp@uwo.ca.
