Alumni Relations chosen tops in London for business quality

The quality of The University of Western Ontario's Alumni Relations Department was recognized as the finest in the City of London at last night's Business Achievement Awards hosted by The London Chamber of Commerce.
 
Criteria for the award included leadership, planning, customer focus, people focus, process management, supplier/partner focus and overall business performance.
 
"The fact that a not-for-profit organization won this honour in a room filled with private sector businesses and members of the Chamber is indeed high praise for the work of the department," says Ted Garrard, VP (External).  
 
The award is often seen as a stepping stone to the Canadian Awards for Excellence Quality Award administered by the American Society for Quality's Canadian chapter.
