Just a bit more notice, please
This morning (Dec. 6) I found out that the Thames Valley School board and Catholic school board had closed schools at 7 a.m. from the radio and websites. Fanshawe College’s website had a graphic prominently displayed to notify people that Fanshawe is aware of the snow storm and to check there often to see if the college is open or closed.
Western ... nothing.
When I got to work, I saw that the website had updated to say that the university is open. I see that was posted at 8 a.m.
As many people have to be at work for 8 a.m., or in my case 8:30 a.m., this news item is totally redundant at this point. In the future it would be nice to see that Western is aware that thousands of people are checking to see if the university is open by at very least posting a message, at around 7 a.m. to say, “Yes, we’re open today.”
