Goldszmidt awarded 3M National Teaching Fellowship

Western University's Dr. Mark Goldszmidt, an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine and acting director for the Centre for Education Research & Innovation at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, has been awarded the prestigious 3M National Teaching Fellowship recognizing his dedication to teaching, learning, and educational leadership.
In its 28th year, the Fellowship continues to be the most prestigious acknowledgement of teaching excellence in Canada. There are now 275 Fellows across the country representing a broad range of academic disciplines.
Dr. Goldszmidt adds the 3M Fellowship to past teaching accolades including: the American Association of Medical Colleges, Research in Medical Education's New Investigator Award, the GlaxoSmith Kline Young Educators Award, the Canadian Association of Medical Education New Educator Award of Excellence, the Schulich Award of Excellence in Education, and the London Health Sciences Centre’s MAC Award of Excellence.
The Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education will invite this year's 3M Fellows to be honoured at its annual conference. Later this year, the Fellows will attend a four-day scholarly retreat to discuss teaching and share new ideas. They will also be featured in special issue of Maclean's on February 7th.
