Kevin Goldthorp is Vice-President (External) at The University of
Western Ontario, where he leads a varied portfolio that includes
responsibilities for alumni relations, development, advancement
services, communications and public affairs.
Goldthorp joined Western in April 2010 with a mandate to lead the University’s current $500-million fundraising campaign. Prior to Western, he served as CEO at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre Foundation, which provides financial support for Toronto’s largest hospital. Prior to his time at Sunnybrook, he established a strong fundraising track record as Associate Vice-President (Development) and Director of The University of Western Ontario’s highly successful $325-million Campaign Western.
Prior to his previous term at Western, Goldthorp was Director of Fundraising Operations for the United Way of Greater Toronto. He also has experience in the private sector, having been a management consultant with the Monitor Group.
He holds an MBA from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto, and a Bachelor of Commerce from Trinity College at the University of Toronto.
