National Youth Orchestra of Canada - community concert

University of Western Ontario students Kathryn Wiebe (violin), Daniel Brown (viola), Peter Gajdek (trumpet) and Kyle Nurse (percussion) are part of the 90-member National Youth Orchestra of Canada. Nearly 500 students from across Canada auditioned for one of these coveted spots.

Jonathan Darlington, music director of the Duisburg Philharmonic Orchestra and Music Director of Vancouver Opera, is this year’s conductor.

Their first concert will be held in Western's Alumni Hall, on July 21 at 7:30 p.m. Admission by donation. They also perform Sunday, July 24 at Central United Church in Stratford at 7:30 p.m.
