The Big, Bad Wolf blew down a straw house in the popular fairy tale, but brick houses can be damaged almost as easily by tornadoes or severe wind storms. At the first Classes Without Quizzes lecture of the 2011/12 series, Greg Kopp, Canada Research Chair in Wind Engineering, will discuss research at Western focused on extreme weather damage to homes in Canada and what we can do about it.

Lecturer: Greg Kopp, Canada Research Chair in Wind Engineering
Professor, Western Engineering

Date: Thursday, October 13, 2011
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and class begins at 7:00 p.m.

Location: Stevenson Hunt Room, Central Branch, London Public Library, 251 Dundas Street

Registration required: Please register for this session online.
