Western is proud to present “Classes without Quizzes,” the University's 4th annual complimentary lecture series for the community. Join us for topical, entertaining and insightful monthly lectures by some of Western’s leading faculty, each taking place in different locations throughout London and area from October 2010 through to April 2011. The series kicks off October 19 with "Fallout from the BP Oil Spill"....
Worldwide attention focused on the BP oil spill as 580,000 tons of crude oil spewed into the Gulf of Mexico. With the flow now stopped many questions remain about the long-term effects. Charles Trick, Beryl Ivey Chair for Ecosystem Health at Western shares his examination of the impact on the ecosystem and human health, and lessons learned from the disaster.

Lecture: Fallout from the BP Oil Spill
